7 By offering defiled food on my altar! You ask, "How have we defiled it?" By saying that the table of the Lord may be disdained!

7 This is how---by offering worthless food on my altar. Then you ask, 'How have we failed to respect you?' I will tell you---by showing contempt for my altar.

7 “You bring unclean bread to my altar. “But you ask, ‘What makes that bread unclean?’ “It is unclean because you show no respect for the altar of the LORD.

7 “You are presenting defiled food on My slaughter-place. But you asked, ‘In what way have we defiled You?’ Because you say, ‘The table of יהוה is despicable.’

7 “By offering defiled bread on My altar.” But you say, “How did we defile You?” When you say, “The table of ADONAI is despicable.”

7 You embarrass me by offering worthless food on my altar. Then you ask, “How have we embarrassed you?” You have done it by saying, “What’s so great about the LORD’s altar?”

7 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORDis contemptible.
