Daniel 1

3 The king told Ashpenaz, [3] his chief chamberlain, to bring in some of the Israelites, some of the royal line and of the nobility.

3 The king ordered Ashpenaz, his chief official, to select from among the Israelite exiles some young men of the royal family and of the noble families.

3 Then King Nebuchadnezzar ordered Ashpenaz, the man in charge of his officials, to bring some of the boys into the palace to train them. He was to include boys from among the Israelites,[3] from important Judean families, and from the royal family of Judah.
