1 Samuel 2

33 There is only one man I will save to serve as priest at my altar. He will live until his eyes wear out and his strength is gone. But all of your descendants will die by the sword.[20]

1 Samuel 2

33 Yet I will keep one of your descendants alive, and he will serve me as priest. But he will become blind and lose all hope, and all your other descendants will die a violent death.

33 If I let anyone from your family be a priest, his [10] life will be full of sadness and sorrow. But most of the men in your family will die a violent death! [11]

33 Any man of yours that I did not cut off from My altar would make your eyes weep and your soul grieve. So all the increase of your household will die as young men.
