Obadiah 1

3 זדון The pride לבך of thine heart השׁיאך hath deceived שׁכני thee, thou that dwellest בחגוי in the clefts סלע of the rock, מרום high; שׁבתו אמר that saith בלבו in his heart, מי Who יורדני shall bring me down ארץ׃ to the ground?

3 The pride of your heart has deceived you, you dweller in the refuges of the rock [Petra, Edom’s capital], whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, Who can bring me down to the ground?

3 "The pride and arrogance of your heart have deceived you, You who live in the clefts and lofty security of the rock (Sela), Whose dwelling place is high, Who say [boastfully] in your heart, 'Who will bring me down to earth?'

3 But your pride has fooled you. You live in the hollow places of the cliff. Your home is up high. And you say to yourself, ‘No one can bring me down to the ground.’
