Habakkuk 1

12 Are you not from of old, O Lord, my holy God, immortal? [AF] Lord, you have appointed them for judgment, [5] O Rock, [6] you have set them in place to punish!

Habakkuk 1

12 LORD, from the very beginning you are God. You are my God, holy and eternal. LORD, my God and protector, you have chosen the Babylonians and made them strong so that they can punish us.

Habakkuk 1

12 LORD, you are the one who lives forever! You are my holy God who never dies![2] LORD, you created the Babylonians to do what must be done. Our Rock, you created them to punish people.

12 Are You not from everlasting, O יהוה my Elohim, my Set-apart One? You do not die! O יהוה, You have appointed them for right-ruling, O Rock, You have established them for reproof.

12 Are not You from antiquity — ADONAI my God, my Holy One? We will not die. ADONAI, You have ordained him for judgment — as You, O Rock, have established him to chasten.

12 Holy LORD God, mighty rock, [4] you are eternal, and we [5] are safe from death. You are using those Babylonians to judge and punish others. [6]
