6 For now I am raising up the Chaldeans, [AE] that bitter and impulsive people, Who march the breadth of the land to take dwellings not their own.

6 I am bringing the Babylonians to power, those fierce, restless people. They are marching out across the world to conquer other lands.

6 I will make the Babylonians[1] a strong nation. They are cruel and powerful fighters. They will march across the earth. They will take houses and cities that don’t belong to them.
