15 John testified [repeatedly] about Him and[5] has cried out [testifying officially for the record, with validity and relevance], "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me[6] has a higher rank than I and has priority over me, for He existed before me.'"

15 John testified about Him and cried out, This was He of Whom I said, He Who comes after me has priority over me, for He was before me. [He takes rank above me, for He existed before I did. He has advanced before me, because He is my Chief.]

15 John talked about him. He called out saying, Here is the man I told you about. I said that the one who is coming after me is greater than I am, because he lived before I lived.

15 John gave his testimony about him, shouting out to the people, “This is the one I was telling you about when I said, ‘The one who is coming after me is more important than me, for before I ever existed he already was.’”
