Jonah 1

14 And they cried to Jehovah and said, We beg You, O Jehovah, we beg You, let us not perish for this man's life, and do not lay on us innocent blood. For You, O Jehovah, have done as it pleased You.

Jonah 1

14 So they prayed to the LORD, “Please don’t let us drown for taking this man’s life. Don’t hold us guilty for killing an innocent man. All of this happened because you wanted it to.”

14 So they cried to ADONAI and said, “Please, ADONAI, don’t let us perish on account of the soul of this man and don’t put innocent blood on us. For you, ADONAI, have done as you pleased.”

14 And they cried out to יהוה and said, “We pray, O יהוה, please, let us not perish for this man’s life, and do not lay on us innocent blood. For You, O יהוה, have done as it pleased You.”

14 So the men cried to the LORD, “LORD, please don’t say we are guilty of killing an innocent man. Please don’t make us die for killing him. We know you are the LORD, and you will do whatever you want.”

14 So they cried out to the LORD, "O LORD, we pray, don't punish us with death for taking this man's life! You, O LORD, are responsible for all this; it is your doing."

14 Then they cried to the Lord: "Please, O Lord, do not let us perish for taking this man's life; do not charge us with shedding innocent blood, for you, Lord, have accomplished what you desired." [17]
