Nahum 1

14 The Lord has commanded regarding you: [10] no descendant will again bear your name; From the house of your gods I will abolish the carved and the molten image; I will make your grave a dung heap.

14 This is what the LORD has decreed about the Assyrians: "They will have no descendants to carry on their name. I will destroy the idols that are in the temples of their gods. I am preparing a grave for the Assyrians---they don't deserve to live!"

14 King of Assyria, the LORD gave this command about you: “You will not have any descendants to wear your name. I will destroy your carved idols and metal statues that are in the temple of your gods. I am preparing your grave, because your end is coming soon![2]”

14 And יהוה has commanded concerning you, “Your name shall no longer be sown. From the house of your mighty ones I shall cut off the carved image and the moulded image. I shall appoint your burial-site, for you have been of no account.”

14 ADONAI has issued a command against you: no more will your name be spread. From the house of your gods I will cut off the idol and metal image. I will prepare your grave — for you have become worthless.

14 Assyria, this is what else the LORD says to you: “Your name will be forgotten. I will destroy every idol in your temple, and I will send you to the grave, because you are worthless.”
