2 Corinthians 1:17 New International Version | 99 Bible versions Compare

2 Corinthians 1

17 Was I fickle when I intended to do this? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner so that in the same breath I say both “Yes, yes” and “No, no”?

2 Corinthians 1

17 So when I intended this, did I act lightly? [10] Or do I make my plans according to human considerations, so that with me it is "yes, yes" and "no, no"? [AJ]

2 Corinthians 1

17 This, therefore, counselling, did I then use the lightness; or the things that I counsel, according to the flesh do I counsel, that it may be with me Yes, yes, and No, no?

2 Corinthians 1

17 When I, therefore, was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that of me there should be yes, yes, and no, no?

2 Corinthians 1

17 Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do this lightly? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, so that I would tell you “Yes, yes” and “No, no”?

2 Corinthians 1

17 When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”

2 Corinthians 1

17 When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”

2 Corinthians 1

17 Did I make these plans lightly? Or do I make plans the way a worldly man does, ready to say, “Yes, yes,” and “No, no,” in the same breath?

2 Corinthians 1

17 Do you think that I made these plans without really thinking? Or maybe you think I make plans as the world does, so that I say “Yes, yes,” and at the same time “No, no.”

2 Corinthians 1

17 So then, was I indecisive or capricious when I was [originally] planning this? Or the things I plan, do I plan[5] in a self-serving way like a worldly man, ready to say, "Yes, yes" and "No, no" [at the same time]?
