3 Thus says the Lord:For three crimes of Damascus, and now four— [4] I will not take it back— Because they threshed Gilead with sledges of iron,

3 The LORD says, "The people of Damascus have sinned again and again, and for this I will certainly punish them. They treated the people of Gilead with savage cruelty.

3 This is what the LORD says: “I will definitely punish the people of Damascus for the many crimes they did.[2] They crushed the people of Gilead with iron threshing tools.
