Job 1

17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

17 Before he had finished speaking, another servant came and said, "Three bands of Chaldean raiders attacked us, took away the camels, and killed all your servants except me. I am the only one who escaped to tell you."

17 Before that servant finished speaking, a third one raced up and said, “Three gangs of Chaldeans [5] attacked and stole your camels! All of your other servants were killed, and I am the only one who escaped to tell you.”

17 While this one was still speaking another came in and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands and raided the camels and took them all away. They also killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I — only I alone — escaped to tell you!”

17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Kasdim formed three bands, and made a raid on the camels and took them away, and they struck the servants with the edge of the sword. And I alone have escaped to inform you!”

17 That messenger was still speaking when another one came in and said, “The Chaldeans[4] sent out three raiding parties that attacked us and took the camels! They killed the other servants. I am the only one who escaped to come and tell you the news!”

17 He was still speaking when another came and said, "The Chaldeans [6] formed three columns, seized the camels, carried them off, and put the servants to the sword; I alone have escaped to tell you."

17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
