Jonah 1

13 Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before.

13 The sailors tried their best to row to the shore. But they could not do it, and the storm kept getting worse every minute.

13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to return to the land, but they could not, because the sea kept raging against them.

13 However, the men rowed hard to bring the ship to land, but were unable, for the sea continued to grow more stormy against them.

13 Instead, the men tried to row the ship back to the shore, but they couldn’t do it. The wind and the waves of the sea were too strong—and they were becoming stronger and stronger.
