Micah 1

5 All this is because of Jacob’s transgression, because of the sins of the people of Israel. What is Jacob’s transgression? Is it not Samaria? What is Judah’s high place? Is it not Jerusalem?

Micah 1

5 All this is because of the transgression of Jacob and the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not [the idol worship of] Samaria? And what are the high places [of idolatry] in Judah? Are they not Jerusalem?

5 All this is because of the rebellion and apostasy of[1] Jacob And for the sins of the house of Israel (the Northern Kingdom). What is the rebellion and apostasy of Jacob? Is it not [the abandonment of God in order to worship the idols of] Samaria? What are the high places [of idolatry] in Judah (the Southern Kingdom)? Are they not Jerusalem [the capital and center of corruption]?

5 This is because of Jacob’s sin. It is because of the sins of the nation of Israel. Who is responsible for Jacob’s sin? Samaria! Who is responsible for Judah’s worshiping idols? Jerusalem!

5 All this is because of the crime of Ya‘akov and the sins of the house of Isra’el. What is the crime of Ya‘akov? Isn’t it Shomron? And what are the high places of Y’hudah? Aren’t they Yerushalayim?

5 “All this is for the disobedience of Jacob, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the disobedience of Jacob? Isn’t it Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Aren’t they Jerusalem?
