42 Andrew then led (brought) Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, You are Simon son of John. You shall be called Cephas — which translated is Peter [Stone].

42 and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, he said, “You are Simon, son of John. [19]You will be called Cephas” ⓙ (which is translated “Peter” [20]).

42 Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, You are Simon, the son of John. Your name will be Cephas. (Cephas means Peter, a rock or stone.)
