2 Peter 1

3 For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through[4] true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

2 Peter 1

3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [[4]full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

3 Christ is God and by his own power he has given us everything that we need to live and to please God. He has given this to us because we know him, and he has called us because he is great and good.
