15 So they picked up Jonah and threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging.

16 Then the men greatly feared the LORD, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows.

17 Now the LORD had prepared (appointed, destined) a great[9] fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the stomach of the fish[10] three days and three nights.
