1 ויקרא called אל unto משׁה Moses, וידבר and spoke יהוה And the LORD אליו unto מאהל him out of the tabernacle מועד of the congregation, לאמר׃ saying,
2 דבר Speak אל unto בני the children ישׂראל of Israel, ואמרת and say אלהם unto אדם any man כי them, If יקריב you bring מכם of קרבן an offering ליהוה unto the LORD, מן of הבהמה the cattle, מן of הבקר the herd, ומן and of הצאן the flock. תקריבו ye shall bring את קרבנכם׃ your offering
3 אם If עלה a burnt sacrifice קרבנו his offering מן of הבקר the herd, זכר a male תמים without blemish: יקריבנו let him offer אל at פתח the door אהל of the tabernacle מועד of the congregation יקריב he shall offer אתו לרצנו it of his own voluntary will לפני before יהוה׃ the LORD.
4 וסמך And he shall put ידו his hand על upon ראשׁ the head העלה of the burnt offering; ונרצה and it shall be accepted לו לכפר for him to make atonement עליו׃ for
5 ושׁחט And he shall kill את בן the bullock הבקר the bullock לפני before יהוה the LORD: והקריבו shall bring בני sons, אהרן Aaron's הכהנים and the priests, את הדם the blood, וזרקו and sprinkle את הדם the blood על upon המזבח the altar סביב round about אשׁר that פתח the door אהל of the tabernacle מועד׃ of the congregation.
6 והפשׁיט And he shall flay את העלה the burnt offering, ונתח and cut אתה לנתחיה׃ it into his pieces.
7 ונתנו shall put בני And the sons אהרן of Aaron הכהן the priest אשׁ fire על upon המזבח the altar, וערכו and lay the wood in order עצים and lay the wood in order על upon האשׁ׃ the fire:
8 וערכו shall lay בני sons, אהרן Aaron's הכהנים And the priests, את הנתחים the parts, את הראשׁ the head, ואת הפדר and the fat, על in order upon העצים the wood אשׁר that על on האשׁ the fire אשׁר which על upon המזבח׃ the altar:
9 וקרבו But his inwards וכרעיו and his legs ירחץ shall he wash במים in water: והקטיר shall burn הכהן and the priest את הכל all המזבחה on the altar, עלה a burnt sacrifice, אשׁה an offering made by fire, ריח savor ניחוח of a sweet ליהוה׃ unto the LORD.
10 ואם And if מן of הצאן the flocks, קרבנו his offering מן of הכשׂבים the sheep, או or מן of העזים the goats, לעלה for a burnt sacrifice; זכר it a male תמים without blemish. יקריבנו׃ he shall bring
11 ושׁחט And he shall kill אתו על it on ירך the side המזבח of the altar צפנה northward לפני before יהוה וזרקו shall sprinkle בני sons, אהרן Aaron's הכהנים and the priests, את דמו his blood על upon המזבח the altar. סביב׃ round about
12 ונתח And he shall cut אתו לנתחיו it into his pieces, ואת with ראשׁו his head ואת פדרו and his fat: וערך הכהן and the priest אתם על on העצים the wood אשׁר that על on האשׁ the fire אשׁר which על upon המזבח׃ the altar:
13 והקרב the inwards והכרעים and the legs ירחץ But he shall wash במים with water: והקריב shall bring הכהן and the priest את הכל all, והקטיר and burn המזבחה upon the altar: עלה a burnt sacrifice, הוא it אשׁה an offering made by fire, ריח savor ניחח of a sweet ליהוה׃ unto the LORD.
14 ואם And if מן of העוף fowls, עלה the burnt sacrifice קרבנו for his offering ליהוה to the LORD והקריב then he shall bring מן of התרים turtledoves, או or מן of בני young היונה pigeons. את קרבנו׃ his offering
15 והקריבו shall bring הכהן And the priest אל it unto המזבח the altar, ומלק and wring off את ראשׁו his head, והקטיר and burn המזבחה on the altar; ונמצה thereof shall be wrung out דמו and the blood על at קיר the side המזבח׃ of the altar:
16 והסיר And he shall pluck away את מראתו his crop בנצתה with his feathers, והשׁליך and cast אתה אצל it beside המזבח the altar קדמה on the east part, אל by מקום the place הדשׁן׃ of the ashes:
17 ושׁסע And he shall cleave אתו בכנפיו it with the wings לא thereof, shall not יבדיל divide asunder: והקטיר shall burn אתו הכהן and the priest המזבחה it upon the altar, על upon העצים the wood אשׁר that על upon האשׁ the fire: עלה a burnt sacrifice, הוא it אשׁה an offering made by fire, ריח savor ניחח of a sweet ליהוה׃ unto the LORD.
