Deuteronomy 1 - New Messianic Version Bible NMV

Beginning the Covenant

These [be] the words which Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] spoke unto all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] on this side Yarden [Descender] in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red [sea], between Pa’ran [place of caverns], and Tofel [White], and Lavan [White], and Hatzerot [A Place in the Wilderness], and Di-Zahav [Enough Gold].

([There are] eleven days’ [journey] from Horev [Desert] by the way of mount Se’ir [Shaggy] unto Kadesh [Holy] -Barnea [Holy].)

And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first [day] of the month, [that] Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] spoke unto the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], according unto all that the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) had given him in commandment unto them;

After he had slain Sichon [Warrior] the king of the Emori [Highlanders], which dwelt in Heshbon [Stronghold], and ‘Og [Long-necked] the king of Bashan [Fruitful], which dwelt at ‘Ashtarot [Star] in Edre’i [Good Pasture]:

On this side Yarden [Descender], in the land of Mo’av [Seed of my Father], began Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] to declare this law, saying,

From Mount Sinai to Kadesh

The LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] spoke unto us in Horev [Desert], saying, You2f have dwelt long enough in this mount:

Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Emori [Highlanders], and unto all [the places] near thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Kena’ani [Merchant], and unto L’vanon [Whiteness], unto the great river, the river Euphrates (to break forth, to gush).

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) swore unto your fathers, Avraham [Exalted Father], Yitz’khak [Laughter], and Ya’akov [Heal of God], to give unto them and to their seed after them.

And I spoke unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

The LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] has multiplied you, and, behold, you2f [are] this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

(The LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as you2f [are], and bless you, as he has promised you!)

How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?

Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.

And you2f answered me, and said, The thing which youi have spoken [is] good [for us] to do.

So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.

And I charged your at that time, saying, Hear [the causes] between your brethren, and judge righteously between [every] man and his brother, and the stranger [that is] with him.

You2f shall not respect persons in judgment; [but] you2f shall hear the small as well as the great; you2f shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment [is] God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring [it] unto me, and I will hear it.

And I commanded you at that time all the things which you2f should do.

At Kadesh

And when we departed from Horev [Desert], we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you2f saw by the way of the mountain of the Emori [Highlanders], as the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] commanded us; and we came to Kadesh [Holy] -Barnea [Holy].

And I said unto you, You2f are come unto the mountain of the Emori [Highlanders], which the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] does give unto us.

Behold, the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] has set the land before youi: go up [and] possess [it], as the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of youi fathers has said unto youi; fear not, neither be discouraged.

And you2f came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.

And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe:

And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshkol [Cluster], and searched it out.

And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought [it] down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, [It is] a good land which the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] does give us.

Yet you2f would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]:

And you2f murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place], to deliver us into the hand of the Emori [Highlanders], to destroy us.

Where shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people [is] greater and taller than we; the cities [are] great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the ‘Anakim [Longed-Necked] there.

Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.

The LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] which goes before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place] before your eyes;

And in the wilderness, where youi have seen how that the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] bore youi, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you2f went, until you2f came into this place.

Yet in this thing you2f did not believe the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered],

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents [in], in fire by night, to show you by what way you2f should go, and in a cloud by day.

And the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) heard the voice of your words, and was exceedingly angry, and swore, saying,

Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I swore to give unto your fathers,

Save Kalev [Dog] the son of Y’funeh [He Will Face]; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he has trampled upon, and to his children, because he has wholly followed the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).

Also the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) was angry with me for your sakes, saying, youi also shall not go in there.

[But] Y’hoshua [Yehovah is Salvation] the son of Nun [Posterity], which stands before youi, he shall go in there: encourage him: for he shall cause Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] to inherit it.

Moreover your little ones, which you2f said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in there, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

But [as for] you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

Then you2f answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] commanded us. And when you2f had girded on every man his weapons of war, you2f were ready to go up into the hill.

And the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I [am] not among you; lest you2f be smitten before your enemies.

So I spoke unto you; and you2f would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and went presumptuously up into the hill.

And the Emori [Highlanders], which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Se’ir [Shaggy], [even] unto Hormah [Asylum].

And you2f returned and wept before the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate); but the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

So you2f abode in Kadesh [Holy] many days, according unto the days that you2f abode [there].
