Esther 1

8 והשׁתיה And the drinking כדת according to the law; אין none אנס did compel: כי for כן so יסד had appointed המלך the king על to כל all רב the officers ביתו of his house, לעשׂות that they should do כרצון pleasure. אישׁ ואישׁ׃

8 There were no limits on the drinks; the king had given orders to the palace servants that everyone could have as much as they wanted.

8 and said to them, “Drink all you want!” Then he told his servants, “Keep their cups full.”

8 In keeping with the law, there were no restrictions on drinking for the king had instructed the supervisors of his household to comply with each person’s desire.
